It's Official - Kwesi Is Appiah After His Debut

New signing Kwesi Appiah has said he is buzzing after making his Palace debut against Coventry, and it shows how much he must have impressed on the training pitch.

Speaking to the Croydon Advertiser after his 85th minute introduction, the striker said.

'My heart started pumping when the gaffer told me I was going on, it was quite nerve wracking, but once I got my first touch it felt like a normal game. It was a great night for me and hopefully the first of many.'

It was certainly a surprise to see Kwesi involved so quickly after his transfer, but he says that Dougie has been pleased with his application and although he is probably ahead of schedule, he isn't going to get carried away and lose sight of the fact he needs to keep knuckling down and impressing in training and the reserves.

Appiah saved his final words for the fans.

'I've had so many nice messages, the fans have been brilliant.'
