Not Giving Up On Clyne

With all the recent speculation linking Nathaniel Clyne with a move to Manchester United, Steve Parish has said that although he hasn't given up hope of tempting Clyne to stay, he would also have no problem in wishing him the best if he departed for Sir Alex's side.

Speaking to Sky Sports Parish said the new contract remains on the table for the player, but he would not begrudge him a move to a club of United's stature.

'We haven't agreed anything with anybody and we still have a contract offer on the table for Nathaniel, but if there is a deal to be done with Manchester United, it would be hard to stand in the kid's way. If our young players are to leave, then at least we want them to go onto something bigger and better and Manchester United are who they are.'
