Dougie's Decree: Fantastic Performance

Dougie's Decree: Fantastic Performance

Dougie Freedman has said he was disappointed that we failed to take our chances against Portsmouth, but overall he was pleased with the performance.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC following the game the boss said.

'We didn't take our chances. I thought our performance was fantastic pretty much from start to finish, I cannot criticise the players' work rate. We had a game plan that was working well but we couldn't take our opportunities. It was a difficult result to take after looking at our performance.'

Despite the obvious disappointment, Freedman was happy to focus on the positives and performances of the youngsters he put into the team again.

'Looking forward we have some exciting youngsters who did well tonight and will only get better with experience this game will have given them. Even with players missing I can see this squad is going in the right direction. With one or two additions in the summer we will not be far away and I am sure we can move this club to the next level.'
