Dougie's Decree: Proud Of The Performance

With Glenn Murray breaking his duck today, Palace secured a very good point against Championship champs Reading and Dougie Freedman was delighted with our display.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC following the 2-2 draw Freedman said he thought we were unlucky not to take all 3 points by the end of the game.

'I think our young lads performed very well and if it was a difficult game then they have learned from it. I thought they handled the situation well, the young players stepped up and I am so proud of the way they played.'

As for the final result, Freedman said there were lots of positives he can take from the game and also things we need to learn.

'In this game you had one team that's going to the Premiership and one that aspires to. Reading had one chance in the second half and took it but we have to learn from things like that. We want to be where Reading are.'
