Zaha Still Going Nowhere

Dougie Freedman has repeated that Wilfried Zaha won't be going anywhere this summer unless a club offer a ridiculous amount of money for him.

Speaking to yourlocalguardian the gaffer restated that any decision to let Zaha go will rest with him, and he has no intention of letting him leave this summer.

'I am confident he will still be here next season because I will make that decision. I told the experts at the beginning of the season why Wilfried was not playing up front and the reason is because he needs to gain experience out wide. Now he is gaining experience he is starting to show what a wonderful young player he is up front.'

Dougie adds that he believes he has guided Zaha right so far, and he knows Wilfried is on board with that, so when the moment is right for him to move on - if in the future Palace haven't already made the step up themselves - then he'll move on with our thanks and goodwill, but not before he is ready.

'Wilfried's development at this club is still growing and I believe, when the time is right, I will let him go. If a club comes in for him I think can enhance his development then off he goes. If a club comes in and offers us a ridiculous amount of money that will benefit the club and the team then I will let him go. But until that time, I cannot make a decision.'

Good to see Dougie being pro-active here in the press as we all know it's not long before the rumours resurface with a vengence. Keep our stand point well known on his future, and suitors can either pay up or shut up.
