De Silva Delighted With New Contract

De Silva Delighted With New Contract

Kyle De Silva has expressed his delight after recently signing a new 3 year contract.

Speaking to the Croydon Advertiser the 18 year old said he was delighted to commit his immediate future to the club, following in the footsteps of Jonathan Williams and Stuart O'Keefe, so he can continue to play a part in Dougie's revolution.

'This is the club I supported as a boy, so I was delighted to sign. I didn't really expect to make as many appearances as I did last season, now the aim is that first goal, trying to nail down a regular spot and keep working hard.'

Assistant boss Lennie Lawrence added about securing him to the contract.

'You don't want young players out of contract. This shows commitment from the club and the player and we are delighted to have come to an agreement. He is a very promising player, he got his opportunity and he acquitted himself well. He has a great attitude, is skillful and has a great willingness to learn.'

Kyle's new contract kicks in from July 1.
