Palace Offer London Welsh Groundshare

Steve Parish has confirmed that Crystal Palace have offered London Welsh the opportunity to ground share whilst they fight their legal battle against the Rugby Football Union.

The issue is their promotion to the Aviva Premiership has been blocked because the RFU say they fail to meet the minimum standards to play in the top division.

Speaking to the South London Press Parish said.

'I'd emailed a senior official there and said I thought the ruling was unfair and that moving to South London might be quite an interesting thing to do. I didn't realise the issue they had was one of primacy on the ground - I thought it was issues around ground standard, so I offered Selhurst as I thought it might help them and be a great second income stream for the club. I don't think it's for us, but we wish them all the best.'

It's certainly a honourable and financially sensible offer to have made all things considered but the worry would be the wear and tear on the pitch, especially given the work being undertaken on it currently and Dougie's desire for a pitch that aides the playing style he wants us to exhibit could've been the cost for us had it been viable.
