McCarthy Looking Forward To Derby Days

McCarthy Looking Forward To Derby Days

With Palace set to face three of our local rivals next season, Paddy McCarthy has said the club should relish the opportunity.

Speaking to the South London Press with games against Millwall, Brighton, and Charlton, McCarthy believes we should relish the opportunity of finishing as South London's top club, and build further on our results last season.

'I don't see having so many derby matches as a negative thing - as a player you want to perform in front of big crowds and when the atmosphere is really intense.'

As for his former club Charlton gaining promotion, McCarthy added he was looking for three points in that fixture and he'd be happy with a repeat of the 1-0 victory from the last time he faced them.
