Southampton Linked To Clyne

As reports suggest that Southampton are near to securing a deal for Nathaniel Clyne, Steve Parish has said the club will go to a tribunal if they can't secure a fair fee.

Speaking to the Croydon Advertiser our co chairman said that the club have a valuation of Clyne that they want potential suitors to match, and they aren't afraid of going to a tribunal if a deal cannot be struck - although he didn't go as far as to confirm who the interested clubs were.

'There is some interest in him. Nathaniel is back at the club training and we are dealing with agents, but there is nothing concrete. We have to get the right deal for everybody. We have a figure in mind and we think it's a fair value and if we have to go to a tribunal to get that, we feel we have some solid arguments and we are happy to do that.'

The press report this fair fee to be i the region of £3.5m.

The Daily Mail go further and suggest that Southampton might also be interested in a joint £8m bid for Clyne and Zaha, which I really can't see happening.
