Freedman Delighted With Lewes Win

Freedman Delighted With Lewes Win

Dougie Freedman was delighted with the intensity of our play last night against Lewes.

Speaking to the Croydon Advertiser Freedman said he was pleased with the attitude of the team and believed that our fitness and talent shone through on the night.

'We played at that intensity I like to play with, so I was very happy. There were loads of positives. It just shows what a fantastic group I've got.'

With Jonny Williams coming on in the second half, but not completing 45 minutes, Freedman explained.

'We've got to be careful with Jon. We were told by the sports science department that we need to play him for just 30 minutes maximum. His fitness levels are very good and we actually need to bring him back.'

Nice and steady with Williams I think, he'll be raring to go again now, but we don't want him to suffer a breakdown by rushing him back for too much too quick.
