Marrow Leaves On Loan

Fleetwood Town have signed midfielder Alex Marrow on loan.

There are no details yet on the length of the loan spell, but you'd assume it's another step on his recovery following injury last term. Get him some additional playing time and increase his form before returning to play a part under Dougie again.

In other transfer news, Freedman has confirmed that the club aren't finished in the transfer market yet, but again talked about the financial implications he has to operate within.

'We want to bring some more players in, but it's difficult. In a financial battle we are going to lose out, but we're looking around to see what is best for the club and falls within our financial bracket. You'll never see me complaining about how teams can spend money and take your players away, that is the name of the game. The most important thing is for us to get our house in order. Are we done signing players? I think not, hopefully, there will be some more coming in. But if we can get our house in order, then we don't have to worry about the other teams.'

Quote from Croydon Guardian.

More pre-emptive contract offers like we did with Wilfried Zaha will go a long way to protecting our future, and as I read elsewhere (source escapes me now), Freedman knows with the departure of Clyne it's difficult to replace him, but he does think Joel Ward could develop into a better overall player, but again, it will take some time as we develop him further - but in the long term, taking talents and developing them are the way forward.
