Dougie's Decree: We Need To Look At Ourselves

After our embarrassing 4-1 defeat to Preston last night, Dougie Freedman has said we let ourselves down and the team need to take a good hard look at themselves after a performance like that.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC following the game, the boss said.

'These are experienced players who have played in the Championship and played at a decent level so you'd like to think they're capable of doing decent jobs, but right now we need to have a look in the mirror. In the first 15 we were very sloppy. We're at a point right now where if we don't stop crosses and defend the crosses that do come in, we give ourselves no chance. We attacked well after the break, but in both boxes we let ourselves down.'

No punches pulled and the honesty is right. Hopefully the other targets Dougie is hoping to get will come off to give us a bit of a spark now, but this team should be capable of getting results and it about time they started to.
