'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Another Blow For McCarthy

Paddy McCarthy looks set to miss another month of football with a troublesome groin problem.

Speaking to the South London Press Dougie Freedman explained that an injection had not relieved the problem as they expected.

'It's looking like Paddy will be missing for a longer period of time, at least another four or five weeks. The injection he had has either given him an infection or been in the wrong area and it has swollen up again. It's terrible for Paddy and we're just as disappointed, we've missed him.'

Certainly not the start to the season that either Palace or Paddy would've wanted, but hopefully this will be the final stretch for him now and when he does come back he can remain fit for the remainder of the campaign.
