'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Danny Gabbidon Signs On

Crystal Palace welcomed Danny Gabbidon to the club yesterday, and Dougie thinks he's about 10 days away from being fully match fit.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC Dougie Freedman said.

'Danny signed today. We need experience around this place, there are a lot of games in this division and they come thick and fast. We feel the Gabbidon deal is a good one for us. He's an experienced player and he's been fantastic in training the last couple of weeks. He's maybe another 10 days away from being fully fit but he brings experience that we can use.'

Gabbidon joins as a free transfer and on a 12 month contract and has been capped 45 times by Wales.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC himself after joining he said.

'I've been training here for the past week and a half now since my agent asked if I would like to come down and train. I got in contact with Dougie and Lennie and as there's been some problems with injuries to the defenders it was a good opportunity and I've enjoyed my time so far. It's quite a young team with a lot of good players and I've been impressed, they've made me feel really welcome.'
