Dougie's Decree: We Are Getting The Rewards

Dougie Freedman believes Palace are now reaping the rewards of all the hard work the players have been putting in during training.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC following the game, the gaffer admitted he views our start to the season as a learning curve for him, but he's delighted with how the team have worked hard in training and responded to his instructions.

'The first three games were very difficult to take but you can be assured that period taught me a lot as a manager about many different things. We have all worked hard and the development has been great to see. We have a great bunch of lads who work hard and they are getting rewarded with the results we are now getting.'

Zaha again takes the headline following his brace, and Freedman said of our youngster.

'The most pleasing thing about his second goal was the run he made - we have been working on certain movements for him and he did one of those across the centre halves and he showed great desire and technique to get the shot in and score an excellent goal. The kid's got huge potential and hopefully he can fulfil that.'
