'If It's Football, It's Vital'

I Never Feared For My Job

Dougie Freedman has dismissed suggestions that he worried for his future during our bad start to the season, and has thanked the board for their understanding and backing of him in the transfer market.

Speaking to the South London Press our gaffer firstly addressed the rumours of his potential departure following our opening three defeats saying it wasn't something he thought about, and it wasn't a discussion he had with the board either.

'The board helped out a lot. Our performances were okay and within a day or two of the third defeat we had brought in Delaney, Bolasie, Moritz and Blake which shows the backing they gave me. All they asked was how could we reverse this blip. We stuck together and that was what has turned thing around.'

Dougie also addressed the critics of him and the Palace team, but politely points out that many of them have got no where near earning a coaching badge!
