Parish Plays Hard Ball On Zaha

Steve Parish has put the cat amongst the pigeons today by saying prospective suitors of Wilfried Zaha will have to cough up £20million before they would consider selling him.

Speaking to the South London Press Parish explained that any promotion to the Premier League would earn the club £60million in TV revenues alone, and with how important Wilf is to the club we would want proper compensation for weakening our chances of promotion.

To be fair with how things have clicked for Dougie on the pitch now it's the perfect line for us to take whilst we sit high in the league.

'I said at the start of the season that keeping hold of Wilf would be like spending a lot of money on a transfer. Other sides can fly their kites but it would take £20million before we even got interested. He's got the lot, provided he keeps his feet on the ground and continues working so hard on his game, then it will all come. People would have to compensate us accordingly for losing his talent.'

You'd expect some spiffballing on the fee to be fair as we would obviously always talk up a player like Wilf, but with how easily the club have dismissed offers so far, I'd imagine that figure isn't that far off what the club would entertain.
