Dougie's Decree: A Point Fair After The Red

Dougie Freedman believes that the point against Millwall today was probably fair after we went down to 10 men.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC after the 2-2 draw earlier today, Freedman was relatively pleased with our performance but he admits Moxey received little sympathy for his early bath.

'Only Dean can tell you what he was thinking but it looked instinctive, I'm sure if he had his time again he'd let the ball into the net and we could have gone on to win with 11 men. Unfortunately he didn't get too much sympathy at half time, we had to regroup and be mentally strong as we were a man down.'

Despite the sending off, and their two goals, Dougie said he didn't think Millwall really troubled us in the second half despite their advantage but he most pleased with how we started the game and we fully deserved our lead.

'The forty five we were in control and deserved to be two goals ahead, but after the sending off Millwall do what they do best and that is come back at you. I don't think they opened us up in the second half even though they had a lot of the ball, but looking at the bigger picture a point was deserved for both team.'

Disappointing to draw a game when you have a 2-0 lead, but these things happen and it's another valuable point building on what we've achieved so far.
