Holloway - Thoroughly Deserved The Win

Ian Holloway has said that Palace were more than worthy winners in today's game against Peterborough, even though we left it late.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC Holloway said he was delighted to see us take all three points and everything came together in the final 10 minutes for us.

'The lads are fantastic, they kept going and kept driving and it looked like it could have been one of those days. What a way to do it, and I think we deserved it. That's as good a breakaway goal as I've seen, the concentration from the corner was superb and Julian did well and Zaha's run was absolutely stunning - KG did well to keep up with him.'

Holloway clearly had special praise for our Birthday boy.

'Wilf looked like he was on fast forward. To do that with the ball at his feet when someone is chasing you is sensational. It's his Birthday today and I said at half time 'help get that party atmosphere for your 20th tonight'. I thought he'd get me the winner but I'm just as happy with an assist.'
