'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Deja Blue For Holloway

Ian Holloway has said he desperately wanted the win against Birmingham today, so he has to be a little disappointed with the final result.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC following the 2-2 draw, Holloway explained.

'It feels like a bit of deja vu. The last time I was here we were 2-0 up and cruising but drew so it feels the same as then. You have to give them credit but we made one or two mistakes in the whole game and we looked vulnerable when they brought Zigic on. All in all I still think that was a very good performance and we started with intent and scored two goals but unfortunately we let two in. I'm more disappointed with the second as it was a free header from a corner and we don't really do that. I thought Bolasie was sensational and Glenn Murray's movement in the box is probably the best I've seen for years but they're all disappointed as they wanted the win so bad.'

Holloway again made reference to January after describing today as our best away performance since he joined, by saying.

'I'm delighted this group looks as good as they are and I can't wait for January to try and help them by adding one or two players to make us even more threatening.'
