'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It's A Happy New Year For Ollie

Ian Holloway was delighted with our performance against Wolves and picked out Andre Moritz for special praise following his moments of quality in the game.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC following the game, Holloway said of Moritz.

'That's fantastic skill and ability and we know Andre's got that. I had a chat with him in the week and hopefully he'll get up to the speed of this Championship, that's the only thing. He came here without a pre season and he's improving all the time. I'm very pleased for him and I'm pleased to see Jonny back in the team and off the bench. Happy New Year to everyone and that's a great start for us.'

Chatting to the wider press Holloway also said of the 26 year old.

'The free kicks summed up the day - I was delighted for him. We have already taken steps to keep Andre here, the chairman and I have already spoken about it.'

As for Danny Gabbidon's hamstring issue, Holloway said it was just a precaution taking him off at halftime and he's hopeful he'll be in contention for the next game, adding that the club is focused on our promotion push and not an FA Cup run this season.
