More On Holloway's January Plans

Ian Holloway has said he is hoping to strengthen in two key areas during the January window.

Speaking to London24 Holloway said him and Steve Parish had already been busy sounding out potential targets.

'The chairman and I are ducking and diving now. We've already started. We made a load of phone calls on Monday. I think we need to strengthen one or two areas. We're working on some targets, I only want good ones. There's no point having an extra player if he's no good.'

This window is about permanent or loan signings though, Holloway doesn't believe anybody from the Academy is ready yet to step up, but he has high hopes for some of them next season.

'I've had a look at the academy and there are a couple of really good players. But are they ready to help this lot yet? Probably not. Give them another year then who knows?'
