'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Spurs & Man U Circle Zaha

Interesting piece on Talksport about the future of Wilfried Zaha today.

Whilst there are no quotes to back any of it up, they suggest that Manchester United and Spurs will battle it out for Zaha, pushing his transfer fee into the region of £15million.

On top of that though, both clubs would be willing to loan him back to Palace for the remainder of the season - something Steve Parish dismissed as an ideal solution previously - but also that they would organise a couple of loans for their squad players to give us a real boost in our promotion push.

With Wilf saying he does want Premiership football it's an interesting twist, but you've got to ask would it be ideal for Palace really given where we are placed in the league anyway.

Would it change Wilf's focus, and more importantly if our promotion bid is aided by organised loans, where would that leave us if we did go up if those players played a key role for us?

Better off at spurs than man u

Playing wise he would be much better staying at Palace for another 18months - but money talks - and I can't see Spurs or Man U paying 15m for him

Fantastic talant hope the spurs can get him but it does not look likely!think he will go to the other n london club!

You'd think if he does move on he'll have more playing time at Spurs or Arsenal than he would Man U but you never know. All that is guaranteed really is he wouldn't be the guaranteed starter he is for us, so would it be detrimental to him to lose that pitch time and I think it would as he isn't the finished product yet.

Looking at it financially the deal would have to be in the region of £15m really, because if him going does stall our (unexpected admittedly) promotion chase that's a hell of a lot of cash to lose out on for us. His contract is long enough for us to play a fair bit of hardball on the fee aswell. I just hope it stays as things are now, nobody has put an offer in we even have to consider.
