Ian Holloway has called Jonny Williams his little David Silva, and commented that Mile Jedinak's facemask in training today looked like a giant owl.
Speaking to NewsShopper Holloway admitted that Jonny Williams was likely to start the game against Middlesbrough following his performance at Watford, and said that nobody more than him over the last few weeks has been screaming I deserve my shot, with Holloway saying that if he hadn't have been called on international duty he would've been started against Watford.
'He helped us dominate possession and that is what I believe Jonny is all about. He is my little David Silva and he is looking as good as him - and that is no mean statement.'
Holloway also said that Jedinak could be in line to play a part, he is just waiting on his final face mask.
'He has worn one today that looked like a giant owl. His face feels fine, but he has got a metal plate in there which will constantly set off every airport terminal bleeper now for the rest of his life. With the seriousness of it we are thankful he is going to be able to play, and he is someone I'm considering.'
Very good news that Jedinak is in fact able to return as quickly as this, I think plenty thought he might have a much longer spell out on the sidelines following his injury.
