'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Holloway In Heaven

Ian Holloway was positively beaming after our 4-2 victory over Hull.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC following the fantastic win, Holloway said it was all about the team and all about the squad tonight.

'It's about getting a squad together. I think they were shocked when I told them yesterday but it's about tactics and being able to adapt to who you're playing. I just felt that I've had that sort of scenario before and you have to try and pin their back three back. I knew Kev had to play, that's what he does. It's harsh on Yannick, he was brilliant on Friday, probably the best I've seen him. It's about building a squad and most of that I was completely delighted with.'

To be fair Holloway didn't really shake the team up that much, but he is right, it's about countering the opposition, opening up their weaknesses and in some ways doing the unexpected to ruin whatever they have worked on so we catch them cold, and whilst it doesn't always work, it did tonight.

Holloway did admit losing late goals again to make the match less comfortable than it should've been was a disappointment, and it's something we need to watch so it doesn't bite us again.

'That spoilt it, we almost stopped before we'd done it but I can't be too harsh, it's a great feeling. Two vital wins, we got the monkey off our back with the away win and then this is a tough place to come.'
