Holloway - Nobody Was Expecting That

Holloway - Nobody Was Expecting That

Well he's right isn't he. 0-4 loss to Birmingham at home. If you saw that coming you're probably a very rich fan tonight!

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC following the embarrassing defeat, Holloway said that the players needed to show their 'strength of character' now to get the results we want in the run up.

'No one was expecting that. I certainly wasn't. We started brightly and then their goal seemed to affect everybody out there which is completely unusual. I can't remember my team making as many wrong decisions out there. That's the last thing we need, but we've got to get on with it.'

Holloway refused to blame the international callups saying it's about what players are thinking when they concede, how they respond to it in the moment, and the strength and pride they show to put it right...today obviously they weren't thinking the right things.
