Palace Keen On Thomas?

Palace Keen On Thomas?

It's being reported that Palace could be close to securing a deal for former West Bromwich Albion winger Jerome Thomas.

He was released by Albion in the summer and his agent Tony Finnigan has told News Shopper that he has spoken to Palace and that he was hopeful a deal could be struck quickly for his 30 year old client.

'We haven't agreed anything yet, but we are talking.'

He made 106 appearances for Albion in his time there, scoring 13 times.

May not be seen as the most exciting type of signing for some Palace fans - but most will agree that "Silly Money" to Blackpool - or anyone else for that matter! Experienced and keen signings like this coupled to Ollies motivational skills and the Selhurst enthusiasm could still be enough. We all know it will be a battle for every point!

Good experience in the league, gives another option and an older head for the youngsters to lean on. We need players who will work hard as well as look good, and from what I can tell Thomas fits the bill.

It is still highly unlikely Crystal Palace will be relegated but we're not making it easy to mathematically confirm this, with a defeat at Newcastle helping the Magpies chances.
