No Truth To Holt Rumours

No Truth To Holt Rumours

Grant Holt's management company have stated that rumours linking their client with a move to Crystal Palace are just speculation.

The 32 year old has turned many heads owing to his performances for Norwich in the Premiership and it seems every window he's being linked with a move away from the club, but with Chris Hughton already having strengthened the forward line this summer it appears this may be the time he does change clubs.

It's not a leap to link him to Palace given his style and goal return, especially with Glenn Murray out of the majority of the season but, at least according to his representatives, there is no truth to it and Palace certainly haven't made a move, yet.

Speaking to the Croydon Advertiser they explained.

'Until a club show their cards and put down some money, it's just speculation really. There hasn't been any enquiry at all from Palace.'

His management team go on to explain that they have been here regularly with rumours about Holt moving on, and also that they don't believe the figures bandied around in the press are a good indicator of what he would cost in the market today, but if anything is going to happen somebody is going to have to test the water first.

With Holloway already working hard to provide Premiership experience and options to the squad, I still think Holt could do a job for us. Big, strong and he knows where the goal is.
