Jedinak Signs New Deal

Jedinak Signs New Deal

Midfielder and skipper Mile Jedinak has now put pen to paper on a new three and a half year deal at Crystal Palace.

The Australian international joined us in July 2011 and quickly established himself as a very key player for us, so news that he is contracted until June 2017 will be a big boost for everyone.

Since joining us Jedinak has gone on to start 90 games for us, and appeared four more times from the bench and has chipped in with four goals, so he'll soon be making his 100th appearance for us and having skippered us to promotion last season, we all hope he'll be skippering us to survival this campaign.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC following all the formalities, the midfielder said he was 'ecstatic' to have signed a new contract and said he had loved every minute of the last two and a half years with us.

'The first season was great and the second obviously ended in us getting promoted and now we're in the Premier League where we want to be, so I'm really happy here and pleased that I've done this.'

New manager Tony Pulis also told the Daily Mail that he was delighted to see Jedinak commit his future to the club, because he knows what an 'outstanding team player' he is and he confirmed he had tried to sign him whilst at Stoke, adding further that despite only being at the club for a week so far, he already knew that Mile was a 'real soldier' and had great leadership abilities that will be key for us this campaign.
