Leeds Confident On Kebe & Other Links

Leeds manager Brian McDermott has said that he's very confident a deal will be done for winger Jimmy Kebe ahead of the weekends fixtures.

Speaking to their official site, he explained that he was hopeful a deal would be sorted prior to their game against Sheffield Wednesday.

'We're very close with Jimmy, he has pace to burn, makes a lot of goals and is very much a team man. It would be a loan deal, with an agreement in place to make things permanent should we win promotion.'

Manager Tony Pulis has praised returning loanee Stephen Dobbie following the expiry of his loan spell at Blackpool.

He was of course named on the bench for the FA Cup win over West Bromwich Albion but he didn't get on the pitch, but it seems Pulis hasn't ruled out his involvement this side of the season after praising his efforts in training and calling him 'a good lad.'

Dobbie has also been tentatively linked with Millwall.

Links with Blackburn's Scott Dann continue, but there are now suggestions of a snag in the deal. Dann is reported to be on substantial wages at Blackburn, and the 26 year old would have to take a pay cut to return to top flight football with us, but equally in any deal for him should we not survive in the Premership this season and be relegated, the club are also set to build a further wage cut in to reflect relegation should it happen, and if the speculation is to be believed, that has left Dann wondering whether he should agree to a potential double pay cut within the space of six months.

Finally from what I can tell today, 18 year old centre back Ryan Inniss seems to be the subject of interest from Luton. The youngster spent time out on loan earlier this season having a spell at Cheltenham Town but that was injury interrupted and there are sketchy reports that 22 year old Matt Parsons could be set for a move to Plymouth Argyle, but there are no details on whether this would be a loan or permanent deal.

As is usual for January, that's about as concrete as it gets.
