'If It's Football, It's Vital'

That Was A Hull Of A Three Points

Manager Tony Pulis couldn't have been more delighted after seeing Crystal Palace pick up a 'massive' win against Hull City last night.

A goal from on loan Jason Puncheon inside the opening 20 minutes of the match proved to be enough to see us come out of the game with all the points and there was further reason to cheer as centre half Paddy McCarthy made his long awaited first team return in the second half.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC following what was our fourth win at Selhurst in our last six attempts, Pulis said he was delighted with the bounce we had had in our home form since he came into the club, and he knew this would be a very important three points for the club as it has lifted us into the top half of the table's relegation threatened places.

Any team from Swansea in 10th place really can be sucked into the battle at the bottom, but we now do have a small buffer over those bottom four teams and as long as we can keep that and better still build on it as the season goes on, we'll be safe.

'We are pleased. It's a massive three points for us. These are big games - every home game we play now is massive, so to get the three points and keep a clean sheet again is smashing. But we've got to keep looking forward not looking back and that's the only way we can be successful.'

Pulis goes on to say that he has a target of another 17 points from our remaining 15 games and he knows that will be a massive task for the team to achieve, so nobody will be getting carried away, but that is the target he's setting and he remains confident we'll reach it if we keep putting the work in that we are in training and on the pitch.

Pulis also had praise again for our match winner Jason Puncheon, saying he's been very good for the club since he arrived, and the work that has gone into training is certainly coming to the fore now in his performances of late.
