Ince Happy With Goalscoring Debut

You can't get a much better debut than scoring one goal and creating another in a win for your new club can you? And this is exactly what Tom Ince did for Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Very humbly Ince played down his impact saying that his debut was a 'good debut' but the main thing was that Palace won and with more training under his belt, remembering he has only managed a week, he will get better still.

Ince told Sky Sports: 'It was a good debut. It's a good league and I'm still a bit off as I've been in the Championship for the past couple of years.

'I've only had a week's training, so I still need to get used to what it's like to play in the Premier League, but it was nice to get a goal and an assist and most importantly the three points.'

Once again Ince spoke very highly of Tony Pulis and the impact that he's had at Palace and how he's got together a team of players that play for each other.

A great day, and another home win, was rounded off perfectly with Glenn Murray getting on as a sub to complete his return from a long-term knee injury with Ince also familiar with him having faced him last season.

Murray's a key player for Palace and having him back gives another option, he added: 'Glenn is fantastic - I played against him last year in the Championship and he's a deadly, deadly man in front of goal and give him some more game time and he'll be exactly the same.

'I've never seen someone jump so high and hold the ball up fantastically, so he gives us options, and you can never have enough options up front.'
