Mini Palace Round Up 20/2/14

A fair few snippets today, covering Jonny Williams, Glenn Murray and Marouane Chamakh.

Starting firstly with Jonny, London24 have quotes from manager Tony Pulis saying that he will decide on potential loans out of the club once we know the rearranged date following the postponed Everton encounter.

It's expected to be soon and he says it will leave us with three games in a week, so he'd rather get that spell of fixtures out of the way first before deciding on Williams' ultimate loan destination and potentially a few others players heading out as well.

'I'll sit down and look at things. We are close to sorting out the Everton fixture. We'll look at it and then take a view.'

It's suggested that Charlton have expressed a big interest in taking on Williams, but also that Adlene Guedioura has received an interest from former club Nottingham Forest.

The Croydon Advertiser have Pulis talking about how desperate he is to get 'goalscorer' Glenn Murray back into the first team, but obviously that we can't push him too quickly and that we have to ease him in because of fitness.

'Glenn's got another week under his belt, he's a natural goalscorer so we're desperate to get him back.'

Hopefully Murray will have definitely built on his fitness levels and sharpness following his run out in the West Bromwich Albion match. Be a big boost to have him start a game, although you'd expect the Manchester United game will still come too soon for him on that score.

There are also generic reports surrounding a possible contract offer for striker Marouane Chamakh. Pulis admits that he hasn't spoken to him yet about extending his deal, but these reports seem to stem what can only be a nonsensical link to Aston Villa.

'I haven't spoken to Marouane. We have a few players out of contract at the end of the season, but I'm determined that it will get sorted out though.'

Pulis also confirms that he hasn't spoken to any of the players out of contract yet, because our league season is more important at the moment.
