'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No Rift & Pardew Ban Won't Be An Advantage

It's all going on ahead of the game against Newcastle. Rifts between Tony Pulis and Steve Parish, Alan Pardew to replace him at the club and lots of other juicy things to keep us talking ahead of kick off.

First up are the reports that Tony Pulis will leave the club in the summer having had transfer disagreements with Steve Parish, as well as clashing over proposed pre season plans.

On those reports our gaffer has said that he didn't actually read them, but Steve had rang him to pass on the good news and let him know 'they'd' fallen out.

'Anyone in football with any sense, will realise that it's nonsense.'

Adding that how can the club possibly be talking about pre season plans yet as we first have to secure our Premiership safety so we know when our pre season will begin.

He goes further in saying that journalists, with their own clubs to support, will happily enjoy 'destabilising' opposition clubs at this stage of the season and he expects a lot more negativity between now and the end of the campaign in the press, and 99% will probably be inventions, conspiracy theories and have very little resembling fact or real life to them.

With Newcastle manager Alan Pardew already in the news for using his head, and having a history with Palace as a player, the inevitable links suggesting he will take over have surfaced as his future at his current club is said to be unknown following recent events.

Pulis said that those reports were disrespectful to all involved, not least him.

He also doesn't believe that the ban that Pardew will be serving will have any affect on the game because his plans and messages will be successfully relayed ahead of the game, and during the match it doesn't really matter where he watches from, because we have things called TV's and telephones, so if he does want to pass anything on, he can do.

Ahead of the game we will also have Marouane Chamakh missing and Dwight Gayle has apparently picked up an ankle injury in training so he's doubtful, if not already ruled out also.
