Jedinak - We Won't Relax Off

Mile Jedinak has said that having now secured our Premiership safety for this season, non of the players will be relaxing until the final game has been played of 2013-14.

The press have him quoted as speaking to Palace Player where he said the team are fully motivated to try and continue our current run of form for as long as we possibly can, and that begins with a tough game against Manchester City this weekend.

Answering the relaxation question, he answered.

"No, absolutely not. They're big games. Two games (City and Liverpool) are on TV and we all know the importance of Fulham, the way their season has panned out. We've got to do what we have been doing. We want to try and keep the run going.'

Jedinak goes on to say that this season Palace haven't had many opportunities to string two or three wins together on the trot, both due to our own form and the quality in this division, so now having strung five successive wins together, they aren't going to let that record go without a fight - and clearly he knows Manchester City will be a fight.

If we can build on that, even just remaining unbeaten now until the end of the season would be a huge boost going into the summer and leave everybody on a high, and hopefully that momentum can be built on in pre season, so confidence and spirits and belief are high for when the season begins properly and we can be more comfortable next campaign with fewer worries.

Any advantage we can give ourselves will be greatly appreciated, and taking our foot off the pedal now just because we are safe would be counter productive.
