Experienced Spaniard Cuellar Eyed
Palace, should, only require some fine tuning and/or tweaking of the squad this summer really as Tony Pulis isn't going to need to perform 'major surgery' on the squad he's assembled.
It goes without saying that some of those he inherited that he doesn't have in his plans, will go if he can manage this, but in the main he has a very strong nucleus for the squad he wants going forward.
You can never underestimate the benefits of a bit of experienced cover though.
Rumour has it that Pulis is looking at Carlos Cuellar, now that he is a free agent after he was released by Sunderland earlier this month.
The 32-year-old former Aston Villa defender has plenty of experience in the premier league but has struggled to break into Paolo Di Canio and Gus Poyet's plans at the Stadium of Light after signing under his former Villa boss Martin O'Neill.
It's said that his versatility to play in central defence or right back, not to mention his experience, impresses Pulis who is hopeful of tempting Cuellar back for 'one last hurrah' in the premier league after he returned to Spain following his release by Sunderland.
What do we think about this one, fact or fiction?
