Thomas Looking To Get Palace Career Going

Wideman Jerome Thomas has said he's looking forward to 2014-15 because he wants to get his Crystal Palace career going properly after being injury plagued since he moved to us as a free agent from West Bromwich Albion last summer.

The 31 year old was hit with a spate of ankle and calf problems after joining us, and he only played in nine matches for us as we successfully avoided relegation last season, and speaking to Crystal Palace FC with the new season drawing ever closer, Jerome explained that he'd already been working hard the past few weeks, and in many ways, he's held his own pre pre season training routine to try and make sure he's fit and that the problems of last season are behind him.

'It's more of a pre pre season for me at the moment, I've been coming in for the past three weeks and doing double sessions to make sure I'm ready for pre season. Usually I rest during the off season as I've just played a full season of games but that wasn't the case last year as I was very unlucky with injuries, and when I was back fit the team were playing so well so the manager stayed loyal with them which I fully understand.'

Jerome says that going into a fresh campaign now though, it's effectively a clean slate for him and he knows that pre season is the opportunity to really impress himself on manager Tony Pulis and earn the chance to get a shot in games so he can show what he can do, and if he's performing right, then he knows the gaffer will stay loyal to him, like he did others last campaign as it is how football works.
