Friendly Is A Reward For Hard Work

Friendly Is A Reward For Hard Work

Keith Millen has said that our upcoming friendly against GAK Graz will be the perfect reward for the players following all their efforts in training whilst we have been in Austria.

Having flew out to Graz on Thursday for our training camp, manager Tony Pulis has had the squad up at 6am for three sessions a day to build up their fitness ahead of the coming campaign, and our trip will end with the friendly on Wednesday and Millen has told Crystal Palace FC that he feels all the players will relish the chance to get back on the pitch properly following on from all the hard work they have been putting in.

'They've been fantastic, it's been a shock to the system for all of us to be fair - a little bit back to the old times! We've got the lads up at six in the morning for their first session, then we have breakfast, they have a sleep, then we are back out at 12 before lunch, they have another sleep and then we go out again at five. We've done that every day, but the lads' attitude has been spot on.'

Millen says from how they have been able to step up the work so far, with it still being early in our pre season preparations, is proof of how the squad conducted themselves over the summer because they have all come back in good shape anyway with a good basic level of fitness, so they've been able to work on things from the get go.
