Zaha Delighted With Debut Goal

Zaha Delighted With Debut Goal

Wilfried Zaha came off the bench with 20 minutes to go in the game against Newcastle United today and he marked his return to the club in fantastic fashion by scoring a late injury time goal that got us a point.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC following his second club debut, and the first goal of his second spell with us, Zaha explained.

'To be honest, I'd missed way too many chances before that, so I'm buzzing to get the goal. Since I came back, I've been comfortable and everyone has shown me love around the place. All I need to do is get settled again and get playing.'

Zaha goes on to say it feels fantastic to be back 'home' and amongst lads who he knows well so he's really hoping to kick on from here with us again now.

As for the game itself, Zaha admits he feels Palace can consider themselves unlucky not to have taken all three points really, but we definitely at least deserved to come away with a point as something to show for our efforts on the day.

'We did everything we had to do to get the win, but we were just unlucky to concede in the last minute, but we are happy to get the 3-3.'
