Parish Rubbishes Sale Talk
Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has rubbished reports that the club was up for sale and that Tony Adams had agreed a price.
The Daily Star late last night claimed an exclusive suggesting that a deal had been done to buy Palace for £200million by a consortium that Adams fronted.
So yeah, a typical red top story designed for clicks would be the only sensible response to it.
It didn't take Parish long this morning to respond to the story on Twitter, and to be honest that's the only reason I'm covering it.
He tweeted firstly that the 'story is not true' and he explained that there were no deals in place full stop and neither were their discussions about the selling the club taking place.
This story is not true, there are no deals in place or discussions to sell the club. https://t.co/aEvT20NTuQ— Steve Parish (@CEO4TAG) 8 August 2017
I said shook his hand and hello once at an Arsenal game for 10 seconds, other than that I've never met him. https://t.co/sQb8zBvq1M— Steve Parish (@CEO4TAG) 8 August 2017
Hopefully that quickly puts that one to bed.
