Sorloth Has No 9 Expectations

Sorloth Has No 9 Expectations

New Crystal Palace signing Alexander Sorloth is looking to make a big impact at Selhurst Park following his deadline day switch from Danish side FC Midtjylland.

The 22 year old striker has already scored 15 times and provided nine assists for Midtjylland this season in 26 games and he has 12 caps with a return of one goal for Norway.

Taking the No 9 shirt at the club, he told Crystal Palace FC.

'It's a big club with ambition, a good club who takes good care of its players. It feels amazing, it's a dream come true to play in the Premier League. I've dreamt about this since I was six years old.'

He added,

'My short term aim is to try get my debut as quickly as possible, show my skills on the training ground - and hopefully the manager likes what he sees.'

Despite only being 22, Sorloth has already experienced three different counties.

'It`s been a bit of a rollercoaster. It started a bit shaky in Rosenborg before going on loan to FK Bodo/Glimt and I did really well there. I then changed to Holland [Groningen] - had some ups and downs, but then I went to Denmark where it went straight up - and I think I've have had the best six months of my career. It was amazing - right from the get go, I did really well - and that's what it's all about."'

He also revealed that Didier Drogba was his favourite player but he wouldn't be drawn on whether or not fans could expect that from him.
