Speroni to get No1 Chance

Speroni to get No1 Chance

Julian Speroni is set to feature in the final few games of the Eagles' season.

Speroni, 27, has found it difficult to forge his way into Taylor`s line-up, only making two appearances this season.

He was called upon against Derby in December after Gabor Kiraly went on loan to Villa, Everton's Iain Turner was injured and Scott Flinders was out of favor.

But an injury put Speroni back ouy of favour and he was unable to regain the No1 spot. As Gabor Kiraly is out of contract in the summer Taylor has to look closely at his own resources.

Taylor said: "I do intend to take a look at Julian, because I think I owe that to him. He`s a tremendous professional, and has been a little bit unlucky with injuries this season.

"He`s played well whenever he's been called upon, and he's a good lad to have around the place. I always intended to take a look at him for at least a couple of games if I can."
