Former Telford United boss Mick Jones is back in football - as part of the backroom staff to new Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock.
Mick is a character in his own right, he was once to have said "I`d blow up my own house for three points,' Mick will be giving his all for Palace and is looking to move close to Crystal Palace training ground, he told the Shropshire Star, "Potentially they`ve got a very good fan base and it`s well away from everybody else in London," he declared.
"I`ll definitely be looking to move. It was the same at Telford, I moved to the area straight away because I don`t like commuting. I`d like to get somewhere within five or 10 minutes of the training ground."
As with what Neil has said this too will Micks last job in football, Mick told the Shropshire Star, "It`s exactly the same for me, this is the last job for me," he confirmed. "I`ve been in the game 40 years and I`m very fortunate because there`s some good lads older than me out there who are out of the game and should still be in it."
Also Joining Mick Jones will be Keith Curle, they Both travelled down to Selhurst together, Mick also told the Shropshire Star, "I know Keith well and we`ve been golf partners over the last six weeks," he added. "Neil always had him in mind and now the opportunity has arisen and I`m sure he`ll grab it with both hands.
"The next week will be important as we`ll learn plenty about the players."
