Warnock wanted to go shocker!

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock has revealed how he thought about quitting the South London club in his first few weeks.

Warnock watched as the side slipped towards the relegation places, and thought what he had let himself in for, but Chairman Simon Jordan helped him through the troubled first few weeks and now look where Palace are.

Warnock told icsouthlondon: 'The chairman has been excellent - when I needed him to be supportive he was.

'I was very, very disillusioned after three or four weeks.

'I just didn't see any light at the end of the tunnel. I didn't think it would be as bad as it was. I thought 'do I need this at this stage of my career?'

'The one thing that kept me going was that my family were enjoying it down here and Simon was just so supportive. When things are tough you need your chairman to say 'I know you're going to turn it around, I know what you're capable of'.'
