Palace v Scunny

Scunthorpe, who have never beaten Crystal Palace in the league, have found the going tough since returning to the Championship and have lost their last three matches.

Some of the Eagles' performances have been promising, however, and during the international break boss Neil Warnock finally managed to complete the signing of Claude Davis from Derby.

Vital Quotes:

Nigel Adkins
'They're a team who have lots of experience and they're physical. I think Neil Warnock is a great character, and he's got a fantastic desire to win. His passion is there for all to see.

Crystal Palace Team News:

Claude Davis is ready to make his second Crystal Palace debut after completing his move before the window closed last month. The defender impressed while on loan from Derby last season and will replace the suspended Paddy McCarthy who saw red at Peterbrough in Palace's last match.

Stern John (elbow) and Calvin Andrew (knee) are still sidelined.

Player to watch: Freddie Sears

Back from International duty, fit and a goal under his belt, should have the flavour for goal today...

Scunthorpe United Team News:

Grant McCann needs to score to total 50 career league goals in England and Scotland.

• Paul Hayes is in line for his 250th club career start and Gary Hooper his 100th.
