Palace managed a 1-1 draw in blustery conditions at home to Sheffield Wednesday.

Wednesday went into a seventh minute lead after Leon Clarke slotted Sean McAllister's cross from the right into the bottom corner.

Palace levelled matters with a Ben Watson penalty - his fourth goal of the season. Shefi Kuqi was fouled by Mark Beevers in the 54th minute and Watson cooly put away the spot-kick.

Palace: Speroni, Lawrence, McCarthy, Fonte, Hill, Oster, Watson, Derry, Ifill, Beattie (Scannell 78), Kuqi (Andrew 88).

Not Used: Carle, Moses, Ertl.

Sheff Wed: Grant, Spurr, Beevers, Wood, Buxton, Tudgay, Watson, McAllister, O'Connor, Esajas (Johnson 70), Clarke (Sodje 70).

Not Used: Gilbert, Jeffers, Burton.
