Hull 2-0 Palace
The four-game unbeaten (league) run to kick-off Neil Warnock's return as Palace manager was ended on as we went into the international break tasting defeat....
Hull, without a win since the opening day of the season, struck twice in the second half to beat Palace 2-0 at the KC Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Warnock has us well organised again at the back, we're again hard to break down but we suffered the blow of losing Scott Dann early on when he was stretchered off.
There weren't too many chances, for either side, in the first half but the best of them came to the home side as half time approached. Club record signing Abel Hernandez missed two good opportunities.
The deadlock was finally broken as Mohamed Diame (60) kept up his impressive form for his new club as he headed past a helpless Julian Speroni on the hour.
Veteran Hull 'keeper Steve Harper pulled off a fine save to tip Yannick Bolasie long-range effort over the bar to deny us an equaliser, what a goal that would have been.
As we pushed for an equaliser gaps were left at the back and Nikica Jelavic (89) exploited this in the last minute as he got onto the end of a through ball from Tom Huddlestone, keeping his composure to calmly slide in the second.
There was still time for Damien Delaney to go close for us but his header was cleared off the line by the covering Liam Rosenior.
Following the game Warnock told BBC Sport: 'In the 40th minute there was a blatant elbow from Michael Dawson on Fraizer Campbell. I have seen red cards given for less than that and the referee doesn't even see it.
'It is OK the ref seeing pulling shirts but the elbows are the ones you've got to spot, and he is one of our top referees. I can't understand it.'
