Palace had to be content with a draw at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday in the end as a two-goal lead was lost in a controversial game.

At half time, with an injury-time second added, it was looking good for us but after West Brom got back into the game with a goal that Neil Warnock labelled as 'an assault' on Julian Speroni they then drew level in injury-time.

The lead came our way when West Brom 'keeper Ben Foster, who failed to claim a corner, claimed for a foul as Brede Hangeland (15) bundled home to give us the lead.

Wilfried Zaha's honesty, when he was tripped by Craig Dawson, counted against him as he was quickly up the penalty wasn't given but he and Yannick Bolasie continued to cause plenty of problems with Sebastien Pocognoli finding them especially difficult to deal with.

In first half injury time Pocognoli brought down Bolasie in the box with us given a penalty. Mile Jedinak (45) dispatched this to give us a two-goal lead at half time.

Victor Anichebe's half time arrival saw a change of fortunes for the home side, with him impact almost instant.

Craig Dawson's elbow into Julian Speroni's head might not have been intended but his taking the 'keeper out allowed Anichebe (51) to head home with Speroni spending several minutes receiving attention.

Warnock, even though he wanted to carry on, took off Speroni with Wales 'keeper Wayne Hennessey replacing him.

As the pressure from West Brom grew the deeper we dropped back and that invited a lot of pressure, which we withstood until injury-time when a rash challenge on Anichebe by Jedinak gave West Brom to get a point.

Saido Berahino (90) took this to earn the home side a two-two draw.
