Prem - QPR 0-0 Palace
Palace will definitely be the happy of the sides following our draw at QPR on Sunday afternoon as Keith Millen began his latest spell as caretaker with a point at Loftus Road.
A run of no wins in six Premier League games saw Neil Warnock pay the price with his job after the Boxing Day defeat and as much as we would have wanted to beat our rivals the nil-nil draw will be a much more welcome result for us than it will be Harry Redknapp's side.
When Millen opted to go without a recognised striker the intentions seemed pretty clear, we would be happy with a point.
In a 'scrappy' game we had the better of the first half and at the end of a fine move only the post denied us a goal. Green had already denied us but the QPR 'keeper was beaten by Puncheon's curling effort but this came back off the post.
As you would expect QPR put us under more pressure in the second half but on the whole we stood firm with the most threatening a Caulker header from a set piece, which McArthur was covering to clear off the line.
This point might not have taken us out of the bottom three but it steps an alarming run of results and will give the new manager a foothold....
