Prem - Leicester 0-1 Palace
King Power Stadium
How would we react to our first defeat under Alan Pardew when we lost at Selhurst to Everton last time round? That was a question that many asked going into the Leicester game on Saturday.... The answer, positively!
A second half goal, perhaps Leicester will feel aggrieved with the chances they had, was enough to secure us a one-nil win at the King Power Stadium - our fourth successive away win.
This fifth win in six games, third in fourth in the Premier League, secured thanks to Ledley's (55) second half header as he finished off a Hangeland header back into the area, consolidates our position in 13th place and leaves Leicester rooted to the foot of the table.
Having started positively Leicester then had chances, thanks to Speroni, who made several saves to get us the points, and the post when Nugent was denied by this when our 'keeper was finally beaten....
A real bizarre moment, or 'flashpoint' as they call it, saw Leicester manager Nigel Pearson get involved with McArthur when he went to put his hand round his neck and then grabbed him and wouldn't let him go - a by-product of his decision to come to Palace and not Leicester perhaps, but as much as it wasn't quite on a par with what Pardew once did at Newcastle you would expect Pearson to be pulled up for this and punished accordingly.
